Jan 3- String Quartet

We were very fortunate to be invited to someone's personal home for a performance of a string quartet.  Their home was basically a city block.  They were fans of the Arts and had an art studio in the front, and the concert hall  built on the property.  The string quartet was Cello, violins, and a viola.  It was a wonderful performance.

After the performance we enjoyed some wine in the sculpture garden. The pictures don't do it justice. It was stunning. Most of the art on display followed a butterfly theme. There were sculptures, photographs, paintings, film, even handmade wallpaper all working together. The owners house artists in residence and host artists who travel the world exhibiting their work.

This was outside in the garden between the art gallery and concert hall.  Every part of he complex was beautifully decorated.

Unfortunately we didn't get a tour of the house.  We were invited back on Thursday for an artist visit, so we'll see if we have time to return.
