Jan 2 - Uxmal

After Kabah we went to Uxmal.  The first thing we noticed was that there were more crowds.   As we walked into he entrance, the first building was huge.  If you clapped in front of it, the echo would sound like a bird.

There were several building to walk through and our tour guide gave us just the highlights.  The kids found an iguana and gave it a little water.

The buildings were decorated with animals to represent who the building was for.  For example he government building had turtles.

The below is where they hosted bowl games.  The winner of the game was given immortality.. By means of death!  I little more stressful than the Super Bowl!

Fortunately for me we couldn't walk to the top of the main building, but there was another one they we could walk up.  70 very small steep steps.  At the top, you couldn't see the steps.

After I crawled down the stairs, we finished our tour of Uxmal.
